Richard Bazley, the Director of one of our films in development, I SEE SPIDERS wins global competition’s Award of Excellence for his short film Centurion Resurrection, shot at Roman Baths

“The short film shot in Bath and edited in nearby Box, has won a prestigious award. The film, Centurion Resurrection, features the Roman Baths and was directed by former Disney animator Richard Bazley. Actor Mingis Johnston plays a Roman Centurion soldier who is resurrected in modern times at the Roman Baths. He is then mistaken for a street performer as he enters the streets of Bath. The sound design and final audio mix was done at Red Six, based at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios in Box in Wiltshire.It has now won an Award of Excellence from The Accolade Global Film Competition, which recognises film, television, videography and new media professionals who show creativity and produce stand-out entertainment. It also won Best Music at the London Ealing Film Festival. Mr Bazley said: “Having spent half of my working life in California I am very familiar with the regard and status of The Accolade Award and feel very privileged to join the ranks of some of the previous and very distinguished directors and artist. Chairman of the competition, Rick Prickett, said: “The Accolade is not an easy award to win. Entries are received from around the world from powerhouse companies to remarkable new talent. The accolade helps set the standard for craft and creativity.The judges were pleased with the exceptional high quality of entries. The goal of The Accolade is to help winners achieve the recognition they deserve.” – Bath Chronicle
